From Wednesday 3rd December, join us for late night shopping every Wednesday and Thursday in the run up to Christmas, when we will be open until 8pm.
Welcome
Since we swung open our doors for the first time in April 2005, we have continued to go from strength to strength, providing advice and equipment for a wide range of outdoor activities, from a gentle walk in the peaks to winter mountaineering in the Alps. The store is ideally situated on the edge of the city centre with free parking right outside. With over 9000 square feet of shop floor, we house over 160 brands including Berghaus, North Face, Animal, Rab, Mountain Equipment, Brasher and Weird Fish so if you are planning an activity or just enjoy browsing, we hope to see you here soon.
Rock Bottom department
Why not grab yourself a great deal in our new Rock Bottom department where you can enjoy up to 50% off top quality clothing from the likes of Rab, Craghoppers, Macpac, Mountain Hardware and many more. Stock changes weekly so if you are in the area it is well worth visiting.
Customers
Our knowledge is extensive but can always be added to, so we welcome your stories and learn a lot from customer feed back. If you have an experience to share, or can advise us on techniques and gear you have used then feel free to drop in.
Want to trial any of our products at home?
No problem. In fact we recommend it. Pay for your new gear and trial it at home at your leisure. We think it's especially important to trial Footwear at home, also jackets, rucksacks, electronics - you name it. All we ask is that if you decide you don't want to keep your purchase, you return it as new in the original packaging, including labels and retain your receipt, and preferably within the month from purchase.
Staff
Our friendly team in the store are here to help and advise. We aim to make the store easy to shop in and are as friendly and welcoming to the customer buying their first pair of walking boots to the experienced alpinist.
