The Re-Kånken Rucksack is a special edition of Fjällräven's Kånken Mini Rucksack made entirely from polyester recycled from eleven plastic bottles and dyed with SpinDye technology that radically reduces the amount of water, energy and chemicals used. An everyday companion with the same great design as the original, but now reinvented from an environmental perspective that saves natural resources. Ready to be carried, travelled with and loved – and in the far and distant future, recycled again.
The main compartment has a large zipped opening that makes it easy to pack and unpack. It comes with a seat pad that is stored in the inside back packet where it stops the contents of the backpack pressing against the back – and is always at hand when a pause is needed. There are also two flat side pockets and a zipped pocket on the front, perfect for small items you want to keep close at hand. The carrying system is simple but functional with handles at the top and flexible, adjustable shoulder straps.
In 1960, Åke Nordin founded Fjӓllrӓven in his basement in the Swedish town of Örnsköldsvik. From its very first innovative framed backpacks and lightweight outdoor jackets, Fjӓllrӓven has stayed true to its original mission of making it easier for more people to enjoy and stay comfortable in the great outdoors.
Passionate about protecting the environment that inspires it, Fjӓllrӓven is always looking for new ways to reduce its environmental impact; from its innovative, PFC-free Eco-Shell fabric to its highly ethical and fully traceable Down-sourcing programme.
