Product information

Even in midsummer, conditions can be fickle on your north-facing alpine project. Scattered clouds and a light breeze quickly turn sending temps into an unpleasant belay experience. Luckily, the Mens DAS Light Hoody has your back on alpine belay duty, windy ridgeline scrambles and late-season desert tower missions.

This ultralight belay hoody is constructed using Patagonia’s PlumaFill insulation along with an ultralight nylon ripstop face fabric that provides protection against those common less-than-ideal alpine conditions. By pairing a hung face fabric with quilted insulation, the DAS Light Hoody provides maximum warmth with minimal stitching and little additional weight. Climbing-specific features include a helmet-compatible hood with a single-pull adjustment in back, a two-way, centre-front zipper for belay loop access, and the ability to self-stuff into the front left pocket.

Patagonia’s mission: We’re in business to save our home planet.

Patagonia appreciate that all life on earth is under threat of extinction. We aim to use the resources we have—our business, our investments, our voice and our imaginations—to do something about it.

Patagonia grew out of a small company that originally made tools for climbers. Today alpinism remains at the heart of a business that still makes clothes for climbing as well as for skiing, snowboarding, surfing, fly fishing, paddling and trail running.

At Patagonia, a love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them, and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of our planet we donate our time, services and 1% of our sales to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups all over the world who work to help reverse the tide.
